Yellow Enameled Teardrops

Yellow Enameled Teardrops
For this project I made a pair of copper earrings. They have a outside teardrop with hammer texture on it and a outside teardrop with yellow enamel on it. The first challenge I encountered was that it was hard to get a thick enough coat of enamel to cover the copper but not to much that it leaves huge trivet marks. The second challenge I encountered was trying to attach the two pieces together. I enjoyed enameling my puece and put it in the kiln. I learned how to put the perfect coat of enamel on my piece. The first thing I did was cut my two parts out. Then I drilled a hole in both of them. Then I added hammer texture to one piece and enamel to the other. Then I made jump rings and attached them. Lastly I Patinaed and Polished them.
