Circle Copper Earrings

Circle Copper Earrings
For my third project this semester I made a pair of copper earrings. They had a blue bead in the middle and hammer texture all over the piece. The first challenge I encountered was that it was really hard for me to make a oval jump ring that could fit on both my piece and the bead. The second challenge I encountered was that I found it difficult to attach the jump rings because it was a tight fit. I enjoyed adding the hammer texture and I also enjoyed cutting out the circles from the circle punch. I learned how to make a oval jump ring for my piece. The first thing I did was I cut out the circle for my piece, then I added hammer texture to my piece. After I did that I made an oval jump ring and soldered it on my piece. Then I added my jump rings and attached the bead. Lastly I Patinaed and Polished. I really enjoyed making these earrings for my mom. This was one of my most challenging projects I have done in this class, but all this work was worth it.
